About The Position

Responsible for the design, engineering, and operations of Local and Wide Area Networks (LAN and WAN), and Branch Offices in a Hybrid Data Center/Cloud environment. Provide scalable, resilient, and secure networking solutions for LPL, our Advisors, and their clients. Design, implement, and support network technology at our Branch sites and Data Centers. Provide Local and Wide Area Network Designs, deployments, and administration of Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS), Dedicated Internet Access (DIA), and Software-Defined Wide Area Network technologies. Troubleshoot issues, identify root cause, and continuously improve the environment. Collaborate with various teams within the organization as well as external vendors and partners. 100% telecommuting allowed from anywhere in U.S. Up to 40% domestic travel required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Information Technology, Network Engineering, Communication Engineering, Telecommunications, Cybersecurity, or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or a closely related occupation designing, configuring, and troubleshooting Cisco network switches, routers, and wireless connectivity.
  • Using network monitoring and logging tools (SolarWinds, LiveNX, and ELK) to manage, monitor, and troubleshoot network infrastructure.
  • Leveraging protocols and standards (VLANs, Spanning-Tree, OSPF, BGP, DNS, and 802.1x) to manage computer networks and ensure secure and reliable connectivity.
  • Performing network performance and compliance analysis, including network optimization, reporting, and long-term planning.
  • Designing, architecting, planning, and implementing routing, switching, and data center solutions in multi-vendor environment.
