The achievers and courageous challenge-crushers we seek, have the following characteristics and skills We are looking for a High-Level Aerospace/Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing designs for mechanical aerospace components according to provided requirements and feedback.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
6-15 years experience in mechanical drafting, with a strong preference for the aerospace field
Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and mechanical modelling and drafting
Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Catia, or NX
Expert proficiency with GD&T
Ability to interpret and present technical drawings effectively
Ability to tie design features to requirements
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Nice To Haves

Aerospace industry knowledge preferred

Responsibilities

Design and develop detailed models, blueprints, and engineering drawings from provided designs
Produce detailed models and other technical drawings using CAD software
Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as manufacturing, quality control, and suppliers
Participate in the testing and evaluation of prototypes
Ensure drawings are in compliance with industry standards and regulations
Create presentations and present for internal and external reviews
Mentor and help train entry-level engineers
Keep up-to-date with latest industry developments and emerging drafting and modelling technologies.
