About The Position

The position involves collaborating and leading upgrade and re-platforming efforts of existing software, contributing to new development for current software tools, and performing database work including queries, stored procedures, tables, and views. The role also includes executing updates to Sherman Data configuration as communicated in Engineering Change Order (ECO) requests, and maintaining production software.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering or another engineering discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience.
  • A self-starter with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and short deadlines.
  • Ability to excel in cross-organizational, cross-cultural, global team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Deep knowledge of relational database concepts and especially Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in C# / .NET / Python software programming environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with subversion and/or code repositories such as Tortoise SVN, Git, or Microsoft Team Foundation Server.
  • Proficiency with NI LabVIEW (current or expired certification).
  • Understanding of semiconductor chip manufacturing process.
