  • Develop firmware for peripheral drivers, middleware, or applications using Embedded C for PIC18, PIC16, Arm Cortex-M, and similar microcontrollers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex software problems in embedded real-time systems.
  • Write Unit, Integration, and Qualification tests; validate developed components against requirements.
  • Participate in detailed design and code reviews.
  • Contribute to technical analysis and solution design.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Field Engineers to support customers developing with Microchip devices and software/firmware components.
  • Coordinate with other Microchip sites to design solutions and resolve customer issues.
  • Prepare clear and comprehensive engineering documentation.
  • Take a proactive approach in engaging stakeholders to drive deliverables to closure.
  • Strong in Embedded C and Assembly.
  • Proficient with MPLAB X, Keil, VS Code, XC32, GCC, IAR.
  • Hands-on experience with debuggers such as J-Link, ICD.
  • Familiar with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, R4J, XRAY).
  • Experience with API documentation tools like Doxygen.
  • Exposure to Python, Java, TypeScript scripting and GUI development.
  • Understanding of Agile Scrum and SDLC.
  • Knowledge of ASPICE is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of MISRA C.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently; customer-facing experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Linux development environments, RTOS platforms (e.g., FreeRTOS, Zephyr) will be considered a plus.
  • Knowledge of Cryptographic technologies (hashing, digital signatures, PKI) will be considered a plus.
  • Bachelor's in Electrical / Electronics / Computer Engineering plus 7.5 years of experience or Master's degree in Electrical / Electronics / Computer Engineering plus 5 years of experience in developing embedded solutions for microcontrollers.
  • Knowledge of ASPICE.
  • Familiarity with Linux development environments.
  • Experience with RTOS platforms (e.g., FreeRTOS, Zephyr).
  • Knowledge of Cryptographic technologies (hashing, digital signatures, PKI).
