About the position

The Senior Engineer will provide engineering and technical services to support Eversource Energy's growing organization, focusing on complex systems and equipment. This hybrid role involves both office and fieldwork, with responsibilities including designing substations, analyzing systems, and managing electrical protection and control circuits. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and collaboration across departments to ensure reliable service and support modernization initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering/technical expertise and guidance in identifying, analyzing, and resolving complex problems.
• Plan, organize, estimate, schedule, and monitor work activities to achieve business goals.
• Prepare thorough and accurate technical reports, documentation, and calculations related to engineering projects.
• Conduct engineering studies and complete non-routine projects with minimal oversight.
• Develop positive working relationships to coordinate work activities effectively.
• Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills.
• Maintain accurate records and files.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• 5 to 8 years of related experience, with engineering design experience preferred.
• Knowledge of utility power systems is preferred.
• Ability to independently develop and execute new projects through collaboration with other departments.
• Familiarity with power-related software is preferred.
