About The Position

We are looking to expand our team with a talented and energetic ground software integration engineer in support of satellite ground system development for DoD, NASA and other customers. This position consists of working on a tightly integrated team in a fast-paced Agile environment to deliver continuous innovation to our customers. The Engineering, Science and Analysis (ESA) Strategic Capabilities Unit comprises the technical talent and organizational leadership that enables the successful delivery of high-impact discriminating technologies for our customers' missions. Requirements

• BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is required plus 4 or more years related experience.
• Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of related experience.
• A current, active Secret security clearance is required with ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI.
• Knowledge of systems engineering roles and functions, including operations concept development, requirements management, functional analysis, interface definition and control, synthesis, and/or verification and validation.
• Hands on experience in developing and maintaining Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI/CD) pipelines and deploying software.
• Experience developing automated test suites.
• Experience in cloud development environments.
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Ruby.
• Experience with Atlassian Tools such as Confluence and Jira.

Nice To Haves

• Any experience in mission management, command & control, mission data processing, ground terminal and infrastructure domains.
• Knowledge of related disciplines in software engineering, hardware engineering, integration, test engineering, quality engineering, configuration/data management.
• Any experience with any ground or mission integration including operations readiness activities, rehearsals and launch support activities.
• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) SysML diagrams (Block Diagrams, Internal Block Diagrams, State Machines, Activity Diagrams and Sequence Diagrams).
• Experience with requirements management tool like Jama or DOORS.
• Any experience with satellite operations.

Responsibilities

• Support design, development, integration and testing of an enterprise ground system.
• Apply technical expertise and knowledge of satellite ground system domains to integrate custom built software applications with industry standard applications to deliver fully functional enterprise ground systems.
• Develop technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
• Interface effectively with people at all levels and from different areas, seek out responsibilities and opportunities to contribute, regularly meets with customers, provide leadership to groups and teams and guidance to less experienced employees.
• Analyze and implement key program interface documents by tracing to ground requirements and design.
• Support trade studies, performance analyses, risk and opportunity assessments.
• Prepare and give presentations to peers/management/customers.
• Support program gates as defined by customer, such as the System Requirements Review (SRR), Preliminary Design Review (PDR) and Critical Design Review (CDR).
• Work may be performed without detailed direction. Exercise considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment. Completed work is reviewed from a relatively long-term perspective, for desired results.
• Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
