  • Responsible for planning and designing new software and web applications.
  • Analyzes, tests and assists with the integration of new applications.
  • Oversees the documentation of all development activity.

  • Oversees the researching, writing and editing of documentation and technical requirements.
  • Keeps current with technological developments within the industry.
  • Monitors and evaluates competitive applications and products.
  • Provides technical leadership throughout the design process and guidance with regards to practices, procedures and techniques.
  • Serves as a guide and mentor for junior level Software Development Engineers.

  • Works with Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering preferred; may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
  • 7 years + software engineering experience with 5+ Years of Professional experience working in a large-scale enterprise system.
  • Experience with Web Technologies including, but not limited to JavaScript ES6+, ReactJS, React Native, HTML5, Node.js.
  • General writing, calling, and orchestrating web/micro-services.
  • Working knowledge of configuration and infrastructure management tools.
  • AWS/GCP, CloudFormation, Ansible and consul preferred and general DevOps knowledge: CI/CD, Terraform, Vault (Concourse/Circle CI/Jenkins).
  • Experience with Video technologies: HLS, MP4, Mpeg-Dash.
  • Experience with Video content protection technologies: Widevine, PlayReady, FairPlay.
  • Proficient using modern tools for system observability.
  • Experience with Agile Software Development.
  • Excellent Presentation & Communication Skills.
  • Familiar with best practices for Operational Excellence.
  • Experience with Java/Spring Framework.
  • Experience with TypeScript or Roku BrightScript or Kotlin.
