About The Position

As a Senior Engineer - Electrical (Critical Space), you will lead and manage critical systems engineering projects, developing innovative solutions for complex challenges. Your role will involve close collaboration with cross-functional teams, contributing to the firm's success by setting high standards for design excellence and client satisfaction. You will be responsible for the design, evaluation, and compliance of electrical systems, including medium and low voltage power distribution, large scale uninterruptable power supplies, parallel back-up power generation, fuel cells, battery systems, harmonic mitigation, grounding, lightning protection, and short circuit/arc-flash analysis. Your expertise in complex electrical designs, particularly in enterprise and hyperscale colocation data centers, will be crucial. You will develop and assess system concepts to ensure optimal design solutions that align with project requirements. This includes creating precise electrical design drawings and specifications, performing in-depth analysis of electrical systems, and generating reports and cost estimates. You will also provide technical guidance to the project team and collaborate closely with mechanical, plumbing, fire protection engineers, structural engineers, architects, and other design team members to ensure seamless integration of building designs. In addition to technical responsibilities, you will lead and coordinate a team of engineers, designers, BIM/Revit technicians, and support staff to ensure efficient project execution. Engaging with clients to discuss design approaches, constructability challenges, and construction progression will be a key part of your role. You will oversee the distribution of approved drawings and specifications, manage design manpower budgets, and provide updates reflecting scope changes. Your professional representation of the company in interactions with owners, architects, vendors, and stakeholders will be essential, as will your mentorship of junior electrical team members. You will also collaborate closely with marketing, leadership, and business development teams to contribute to the firm's growth and success, while continuously learning and adapting to industry trends.
