Ventus Executive Solutions is seeking a skilled Senior Engineer / Chief of Staff to support an innovative program. You will provide strategic engineering and programmatic support to senior leadership, manage complex program schedules and priorities, and deliver actionable recommendations to Program Managers. You will engage across government, industry, and R&D stakeholders, represent program office interests with vendors, and advise on technical trade-offs related to software and hardware development. You will also support process improvements and operational efficiencies while briefing senior military and government leadership. Work Location: Onsite : Washington Navy Yard, DC Travel: L ess than 10%

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 15+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience developing and recommending strategies across multiple plat forms .
  • Strong understanding of DoD acquisition policies and procedures.
  • Experience supporting or working within unmanned maritime or undersea systems environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex program schedules and priorities.
  • Strong communication skills with experience briefing senior leadership.
  • Ability to collaborate across diverse stakeholder communities (government, industry, R&D).
  • TS required

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree or PMP certification .
  • Experience with undersea systems development programs .
  • Prior experience in Navy surface or submarine operations .
  • Former Commanding Officer of a submarine or surface warship .
  • Experience serving as a technical authority advising on system-level trade-offs .
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies in unmanned systems .
