About The Position

As a Senior Engineer, you lead complex and technically demanding projects with confidence and minimal oversight. You are a trusted technical authority within the practice, serving as a reviewer, mentor, and key contributor to client success. In this role, you strengthen client relationships, support financial and project performance, and contribute to the development of junior and intermediate staff. You balance deep technical expertise with leadership, collaboration, and responsible stewardship of projects and the company. Key Responsibilities Lead building enclosure investigations, condition assessments, design reviews, and rehabilitation projects with minimal oversight. Conduct and oversee field reviews and performance testing; analyze findings and recommend corrective actions. Review drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to assess risk and develop durable, code-compliant solutions. Develop repair strategies, technical details, specifications, and contract documents aligned with best practices. Serve as technical reviewer and provide guidance to project teams to ensure quality and constructability. Manage project financial performance, including scopes, budgets, and key administration tasks. Strengthen client relationships and present findings and recommendations to stakeholders. Mentor junior and intermediate staff while fostering collaboration, safety, and responsible project stewardship. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Building Science, or Architectural Science from an accredited university 6+ years of relevant experience Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng.), or ability to obtain Strong experience in building science principles, enclosure systems, codes, and construction practices Skills and Competencies Technical expertise in building enclosure systems and performance evaluation Ability to lead complex projects with financial accountability Strong mentorship and coaching capability Client relationship management and business development acumen Advanced problem-solving and critical thinking skills Clear, persuasive written and verbal communication Collaborative leadership across multidisciplinary teams Strategic and systems-level thinking Emotional intelligence and conflict mediation skills Commitment to continuous improvement and responsible stewardship Benefits & Perks The base salary range for this position is $110,000 - $140,000 annualized for a full-time role. Salary is dependent various factors, including qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location. You may also be eligible for discretionary incentives and share ownership. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Building Science, or Architectural Science from an accredited university
  • 6+ years of relevant experience
