As our Senior Engineer, Aerospace & Defense with Donaldson Company, you will make an impact by supporting customer’s vehicle and airline needs. You will be responsible for developing solutions with current and new technology to help Donaldson achieve its aggressive company growth targets. In this role, you will work on air filtration technology as part of our A&D business unit serving the global customers in several markets. Prior aerospace or aerospace and defense experience would be extremely beneficial. Qualified candidates must be able to work a hybrid schedule at our Bloomington, MN office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with an Engineering focus.
  • 5+ years of professional engineering experience

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in Aerospace and Defense industry
  • Master's Degree in technical field.
  • Air filtration knowledge/experience.
  • Prior electrical experience would be beneficial
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Strong technical communication skills, and ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Experience with FEA, preferably ANSYS software program.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage through competing projects and priorities efficiently with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Meet technical project objectives based on customer needs.
  • Clearly and concisely communicate technical results through drawings, specifications, standards, reports, and other forms for internal and external customers.
  • Using your mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills to advance engineering projects.
  • Managing test programs to ensure products are meeting expectations.
  • Develop DVP&R plans and validate designs.
  • Lead and support testing efforts that result in products that are manufacturable and consistently meet and/or exceed customer expectations on product performance, reliability, cost and project schedule goals.
  • Support activities with computer aided engineering (CAE) personnel to conduct appropriate analysis to solve technical problems and communicate results to stakeholders
  • Interface with application engineers, manufacturing engineers, product management and sales to provide constructive input concerning customer requirements for their application.
