As a Senior Engineer - Advanced Manufacturing at S&C Electric Company, you'll be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical or Engineering degree with equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of demonstrated experience in designing and implementing processes within a high-volume, high-mix or semi automated manufacturing environment.
  • Expertise in manufacturing engineering strategies and tools with extensive knowledge in value stream mapping, lean six sigma, DFMA, and manufacturing systems design.
  • Proven record of leading projects with challenging scope, schedule and cost targets from concept through validation and sustainment.
  • Adept business acumen and analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex systems to identify high impact opportunities, guide informed decisions, solve challenging issues, and leverage data and learnings to drive continuous improvement.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills (written, verbal, listening, and presentation); able to interface with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to establish meaningful relationships built on mutual trust and respect, navigate and resolve conflict, moderate behaviors, and foster collaborative working relationships amongst a diverse audience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project team through Production Preparedness Process (3P) events to analyze, design and implement manufacturing systems that meet SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) metrics and long-term value stream strategy.
  • Lead a cross-functional team of professional engineers and other supporting roles responsible for planning and executing projects that achieve the objectives of Production Operations.
  • Research and select suppliers and other vendor partners with a focus on driving identification and adoption of new technology to advance manufacturing processes in alignment with customer expectations and company goals.
  • Present project statuses to leadership using data driven analysis to inform process, equipment, and production decisions.
  • Monitor project and process targets, recommending strategic changes when needed to meet deadlines.
  • Own project capital budgets of $10M+, including estimating costs and ROI, controlling expenditures and reporting performance to target.
  • Collaborate with the cross-functional team to drive continuous improvement efforts that enhance the quality of processes within the Manufacturing Engineering function and ensure results directly support improved customer satisfaction.
  • Understand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules.
