About The Position

The Principal Engagement Manager will be an expert with the Workday Deployment Methodology while managing large to complex global deployments. In this role, they will use their broad expertise to resolve multiple complex issues in creative and effective ways. They will also support executive level expectations by providing internal recommendations to management, based on field experience, as to how to potentially enhance the Workday Deployment Methodology.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience implementing Workday, Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft, UKG or similar applications. Workday preferred.
  • 8+ years experience of project management with HCM, Payroll, Supply Chain or Financial implementations is a MUST.
  • Ability to travel 25% - 50%.

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare experience strongly preferred.
  • Prior consulting experience either as an internal consultant or with a consulting/software company.
  • Previous business development/service sales experience is a plus.
  • Experience in project managing financial implementations or knowledge of financial business processes and financial reporting is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Project manage one or more Workday Financials/HCM/Payroll implementations concurrently.
  • Participate in the sales cycle when requested to gather requirements, formulate delivery approach and develop a proposal/SOW.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to Professional Services resources working on your implementations.
  • Ensure projects are properly planned and staffed.
  • Manage and measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Perform risk management to collaboratively minimize and manage project risks proactively with customers.
  • Work with the client project manager to identify and resolve issues that could impact project scope and/or timeframes.
  • Present at Executive Steering Committee meetings.
  • Ensure the client takes advantage of Workday best practices.
  • Be a liaison for Professional Services when interacting with Sales and other internal stakeholder groups.
  • Ensure the client can serve as a reference upon completing their implementation.
  • Assist in the transition of the customer from Professional Services to Product Support.
  • Ensure the project is delivered within the budget outlined in the SOW.
  • Present client with change orders in the event they're asking Workday to perform tasks that are outside the scope of the SOW.

Benefits

  • Annualized base salary range: $147,400 USD - $221,100 USD for primary location.
  • Additional US location base pay range: $140,000 USD - $248,700 USD.
