This role is with the internal market monitoring (IMM) group in ISO New England. Market monitoring is responsible for protecting both consumers and market participants in the wholesale electricity markets by mitigating the impacts of uncompetitive bidding, identifying and reporting market design issues and market manipulation, and evaluating market performance. In fulfilling this role, we rely on a multidisciplinary team with expertise in economics, financial analysis, engineering, data science and law. As a member of the Surveillance and Analysis team, you will develop a detailed understanding of the workings of the wholesale electricity market. You will provide valuable insight to our team by applying economic principles in your daily monitoring of market outcomes and participant behavior. Working with large and complex data, you will perform in-depth empirical analyses on market performance and report on challenging electricity market issues for both internal and external stakeholders.
