About The Position

Enica Engineering, a division of Willdan Group Inc, provides services built on its industry-leading controls expertise and unique, hands-on project delivery. We offer services in project development, building automation engineering, control system optimization, energy metering, and field engineering services. Our clients include major medical campuses, universities, hospitals, and pharmaceutical and industrial firms in the greater New York area. The Enica Engineering team is seeking a high performing, proactive Senior Energy Engineer who can self-start and deliver high value to the client with minimal oversight from Enica Project Managers and Enica’s Senior Management. The Senior Energy Engineer is hyper-organized, semi-autonomous, and a strong communicator who can collaborate directly with client stakeholders in Senior Management Positions on a daily basis.

Requirements

• Strong energy analysis capabilities.
• Working knowledge of energy modeling in software and spreadsheets.
• Knowledge of energy audit and retro-commissioning process and practices.
• Ability to consistently deliver work on or ahead of schedule.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

• PE, CEM, or other similar energy/engineering credentials.
• Working experience with Building Management Systems/Building Automation Systems (BMS/BAS).
• Working knowledge of NY/NJ utility incentive programs (ConEd, NYSERDA, NJ SmartStart).
• Energy Project Finance and Funding Methods.
• Current Covid and Flu Vaccination may be required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver energy analysis in a timely and effective manner.
• Utilize energy modeling software and spreadsheets.
• Apply knowledge of energy economics.
• Conduct energy audits and retro-commissioning processes.
• Deliver work on or ahead of schedule.
• Delegate work effectively to junior team members.
• Extrapolate the client's value proposition based on limited criteria.
• Define the roadmap and collaborate with clients to achieve objectives.
• Communicate and work collaboratively with clients, project managers, and technical teams.
• Work effectively with sub-contractors and other project stakeholders.
