About The Position

The Senior Employee Relations Specialist plays a crucial role in this mission by performing HR-related duties at a professional level and collaborating closely with HR and Operations leadership to enhance the overall employee experience. This position involves handling mid to high-level responsibilities related to employee relations, performance management, policy and procedure adherence, training, and ensuring compliance with employment laws. The Senior Employee Relations Specialist is tasked with making recommendations to managers for resolving employee relations issues, ensuring alignment with the Employee Value Proposition, Employee Handbook, Anti-Harassment Policy, and relevant Federal and State compliance regulations. This role requires guiding field personnel and managers through employee performance issues, including the creation and delivery of Performance Improvement Plans, and making appropriate recommendations. Regular updates on employee relations matters are communicated to field personnel, both verbally and through tracking reports. In cases where issues cannot be resolved internally, the Specialist will work directly with the legal team and the Director of Employee Relations and Compliance, preparing for mediation conferences when necessary. Acting as a second-level support in the absence of the Director, the Specialist will also partner with managers to investigate employee complaints and assist with Leave Administration. Conducting management training and delivering ad-hoc training in various HR areas are also key responsibilities of this role. The Specialist will ensure timely and accurate employment verifications for government entities and other agencies, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the HR department.
