About The Position

The position involves researching and gathering data to respond to various federal, state, and local agencies such as the EEOC, DOL, and Unemployment. The role requires swift action to address Team Member concerns, conducting comprehensive investigations, and recommending appropriate actions based on company policy and state and federal employment laws. The individual will follow up with departments to ensure compliance and provide data, analysis, and recommendations on overall satisfaction and retention measures. Additionally, the role includes spearheading Team Member engagement activities, providing counsel to Team Members and management, organizing departmental climate surveys, and executing activities for the Team Member grievance process. The position also involves planning and executing Team Member relations and engagement activities, conducting training for supervisory skills, and managing budgets to support engagement initiatives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two to three years' experience in employee engagement or labor relations.
  • Experience in conflict resolution, organizational skills, and decision making.
  • Knowledge of employment law and workplace investigations.
  • Analytical skills and training/facilitation skills.
  • One year of supervisory experience preferred.
  • College degree in a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Research and gather data to respond to federal, state, and local agencies.
  • Address Team Member concerns and conduct comprehensive investigations.

  • Provide counsel to Team Members and management on improvement actions.

  • Execute activities for the Team Member grievance process.
  • Coordinate feedback surveys and follow-ups for continuous improvement.
  • Help departments evaluate and analyze data, providing recommendations.
  • Conduct training for supervisory skills in TM relations and engagement.
  • Manage budgets for property and corporate engagement initiatives.
  • Maintain up-to-date termination, unemployment, and Board of Review files.
  • Support new hires and existing Team Members on benefits.
  • Act as a role model and develop relationships with Team Members.
