About The Position

We seek a Senior EMC Test Validation Engineer based out of our office at 2151 E. Lincoln Road, Kokomo, Indiana (IN) 46902. Note, this position does not require travel. Ensure the product samples are properly tested and validated to identify potential susceptibility and interference of other devices in the field; Work closely with development engineers, EMC test technicians, and a validation engineer in the development and execution of EMC testing; Work with cross-functional teams and various customers to understand the product and ensure it exceeds customer performance and EMC requirements; Review customer test specifications and lead discussions with the product development team to develop a comprehensive EMC test plan; Identify / develop required EMC testing equipment to meet test requirements; Oversee test execution to guarantee compliance to test criteria and per the lab’s ISO 17025 accreditation; Provide EMC technical support to the product development team; Assist in troubleshooting deviations discovered during testing; Analyze test data to ensure testing was executed properly and meets acceptance criteria; Identify potential cost savings and improvements; Ensure timely, accurate, and comprehensive EMC test reports; Mentor current and new personnel; Drive continuous improvement in the lab that leads to an increase in productivity and quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Automotive Engineering and 36 months of experience in job offered or related position in an EMC electromagnetic compatibility laboratory test environment
  • Experience working in a high voltage (HV) testing environment
  • Experience working with ISO 17025 EMC laboratory requirements
  • Experience with automotive EMC test specifications

Responsibilities
