The Mesh and Opportunistic Networking Team at Axon is building hardware and software that enables First Responders to continue communicating when "off-grid". Axon's existing products and services assume LTE and/or WiFi connectivity to the cloud, and this is not continuously available during our customer's most critical missions. We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer II to design and build the software components that make this possible. This will include MAC and higher layers for RF communications subsystems as well as application-layer changes to remove the assumption of continuous cloud connectivity. This software will be used in our RF subsystems and will be integrated into our Axon Body cameras, our SkyHero UAVs, our Axon Fleet vehicle computing systems, and other future applications. The Senior Software Engineer II will be the most senior hands-on software engineer in the team developing products and solutions.
