About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Embedded Electrical Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of embedded systems for cutting-edge products. This role requires deep expertise in embedded hardware, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams. This is a full-time on-site position. Occasional travel outside the Boston/San Diego Metro area may be required. Our continued growth in both market penetration and new development requires expanding our already strong engineering department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in embedded systems design and development.
  • Experience with microcontrollers (ARM Cortex, STM32, PIC, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of digital and analog circuit design.
  • Hands-on experience with PCB design tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle).
  • Familiarity with communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, Ethernet).
  • Experience with debugging tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in designing and testing for EMC.
  • Experience with wireless technologies (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, cell, Zigbee).
  • Knowledge of safety-critical systems and compliance standards (e.g., ISO, IEC).
  • Familiarity with FPGA design and VHDL/Verilog.
  • Experience in product lifecycle from concept to production.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop embedded systems including hardware schematics, PCB layouts, and firmware.
  • Lead architecture decisions for embedded platforms and ensure scalability and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, software, and systems engineers.
  • Conduct design reviews, testing, and validation of embedded systems.
  • Optimize power consumption, performance, and cost of embedded solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and debug hardware and firmware issues.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical leadership within the team.
