About The Position
The Digital Lab Senior Email Specialist at AbbVie is a pivotal role responsible for the management and optimization of a team of email specialists within the CRM Digital Lab. This position focuses on creating non-personal promotion and field communication emails, ensuring that the team operates efficiently and effectively. The Senior Email Specialist will oversee the onboarding and training of new team members, providing leadership and guidance as they navigate their roles. Reporting directly to the Associate Director, Email Product Owner, this position requires a blend of strategic oversight and hands-on involvement in email marketing initiatives. In this role, the Senior Email Specialist will be tasked with hiring, coaching, and developing a team of email specialists. They will oversee the iterative creative work of the team, including A/B testing and the Material Review Process, ensuring that all email communications adhere to the highest standards of quality and compliance. The specialist will expertly create emails using design best practices and HTML development, while also ensuring quality assurance through rigorous testing of rendering, link functionality, dynamic data elements, tracking setup, and content accuracy. Additionally, the Senior Email Specialist will serve as the project originator for the Material Review Process, conducting functional testing in a highly regulated environment. They will develop and enforce enterprise Material Review Process (eMRP) standards, templates, modules, and guidelines for all brands, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team. The role also involves creating and maintaining user guides and manuals for email creation and approval routing, as well as providing training to internal and agency partners based on their specific roles. Collaboration is key in this position, as the Senior Email Specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams to update email creation standards and ensure adherence to business processes. They will monitor and manage the performance of users, gather tool feedback during weekly office hours, and communicate product enhancements to stakeholders. This role is essential in promoting a test-and-learn approach within the organization, ultimately driving the success of AbbVie's email marketing efforts.
