About The Position

Imagine working directly with some of the world’s most innovative technology companies — including close collaboration with leading semiconductor companies in Silicon Valley — showing them how holographic displays can transform their products and redefine entire industries. At Swave Photonics, you won’t just be explaining chips. You’ll be guiding system architects and engineers in integrating our technology into complex SoC and processor architectures, helping partners unlock the impossible: true holographic visualization where digital content floats naturally in front of your eyes. This is your chance to stand at the intersection of cutting-edge engineering and real-world adoption, shaping the future of immersive technology.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electronics Engineering (or related field).
  • 10+ years of customer-facing experience in the semiconductor or related high-tech industry.
  • Expertise in diffractive optics and holography for display applications (SLM, HPU, optical engines) and/or deep knowledge of SoC and processor architecture, embedded systems, hardware/software integration, and system-level design.
  • Hands-on experience in prototyping, alignment, and testing, whether in optical labs (e.g., Zemax, CODE V) or hardware/software bring-up environments.
  • Strong system-level understanding of AR/VR display integration, covering light engines, waveguides/combiners, and processor-to-optics interfaces.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Skilled at analyzing customer requirements and proposing tailored solutions.
  • Proactive, hands-on problem solver with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable with travel (~20% US, occasionally Asia).
  • Collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers to understand their technical challenges and system requirements.
  • Show how Swave’s holographic chips can be seamlessly integrated into their products.
  • Provide structured feedback from the field to our design, marketing, and product teams.
  • Coordinate collaboration with leading AR application processor suppliers and partners.
  • Travel about 20% of your time (mainly within the US, occasionally Asia) to build strong customer relationships.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary package tailored to skills, expertise, and impact.
  • Flexibility and remote options where it makes sense.
  • Informal and supportive team culture.
  • Opportunity to work at the cutting edge of optics and semiconductors.
