About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Test Engineer to design and develop test systems for validating the performance, reliability, and safety of our drones and public safety products. In this role, you will be responsible for creating automated and manual test setups, troubleshooting hardware issues, and ensuring our products meet rigorous quality standards. You will develop test scripts as well contributing to the development of software test infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with hardware, firmware, and software teams to develop test procedures and improve product designs based on test results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field or relevant experience
  • 5+ years of experience in testing, preferably in UAVs, robotics, or consumer electronics.
  • Comfortable defining test requirements based on reviewing product designs
  • Proficiency with test equipment such as Power Supplies, Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators, etc.
  • Experience with automated test development using Python, LabVIEW, or similar tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical and electromechanical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop test hardware setups, fixtures, and automated test systems for drone components, subsystems and full drones
  • Define and execute test plans to validate drone components, subsystems and fully integrated drones throughout all stages of product development
  • Develop and maintain test scripts and software for automated testing.
  • Contribute to the development of internal software test infrastructure (test executive, test results database, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose hardware issues, providing recommendations for design improvements.
  • Conduct environmental and stress testing to ensure product durability in real-world conditions.
  • Work with engineering teams to refine designs based on test results and failure analysis.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of test procedures, results, and issue resolutions.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
