We are currently looking for a Senior Electrical/Radiation Test Engineer to support our customers within the Strategic Microelectronics Division at Naval Surface Warfare Center - Crane. This role will provide consistent expert technical and programmatic guidance to the Government team responsible for ensuring the survivability of critical components and systems within the Air Force Sentinel and Navy Strategic System Programs (SSP). Job Duties and Responsibilities: Provide support as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) demonstrating experience in radiation effects, nuclear survivability, and strategic weapon systems engineering. Act as a mentor and advisor to the GXMV, particularly supporting the team leader, to ensure the successful execution of survivability-related tasks. Attend relevant program meetings, technical interchange meetings, and stakeholder meetings related to nuclear survivability and the Sentinel/SSP programs and share relevant knowledge and experience to inform discussions and promote effective collaboration. Act as a trusted advisor and sounding board for the team lead, providing counsel on challenging issues and decisions and share lessons learned and best practices from previous leadership experiences.

Requirements

  • 20 years of demonstrated experience in radiation effects, nuclear survivability, and strategic weapon systems engineering.
  • Expert knowledge of Air Force Sentinel and Navy Strategic System Programs.
  • Proven ability to provide technical and programmatic guidance to Government teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in mentoring and developing junior personnel.
  • Knowledge of relevant Air Force and Navy regulations, policies, and standards related to nuclear survivability.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Clearance (Interim Clearance is required to start).
  • Please note that US Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • Must have Real ID
