About The Position
Senior Project Manager – Electrical Division Position Summary: The Senior Project Manager – Electrical Division is responsible for overseeing all electrical projects within the company, supporting HVAC operations, and leading the growth and performance of the electrical division. This role combines hands-on electrical expertise, project management, team leadership, and cross-functional coordination to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to company standards. This position will initially involve field-based project oversight and operational involvement, with an emphasis on building, training, and leading the electrical team, and will transition into a more strategic management role as the division grows.
Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and oversee electrical projects from estimate through completion
- Coordinate electrical work supporting HVAC installations, service, and new construction
- Develop project schedules, budgets, labor forecasts, and material requirements
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards
- Review project documentation, change orders, and closeout requirements
- Recruit, hire, train, and mentor electricians and electrical support staff
- Establish job expectations, workflows, and performance standards
- Provide on-site leadership, coaching, and technical guidance
- Conduct performance evaluations and support professional development
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policies
- Coordinate with HVAC project managers, service managers, and field supervisors
- Troubleshoot complex electrical issues and provide technical solutions
- Support estimating and bidding for electrical scope of work
- Assist in developing processes, procedures, and best practices for the electrical division
- Monitor productivity, labor efficiency, and job costing
- Support business development efforts related to electrical services
- Transition into a leadership-focused management role as the division matures
