Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a candidate to provide electrical engineering and design for water and wastewater facility projects. The qualified candidate should have knowledge in industrial power design, including medium and low voltage electrical power distribution, generator design, motor control, VFDs, lighting systems, equipment layout and related activities. Candidate must have a good working knowledge of the NEC and related Codes. Additionally, good communication skills are essential, including interaction with clients and contractors. The candidate will serve as the lead electrical engineer on projects for water and wastewater facilities, with responsibilities including supervision of less experienced staff working on projects, and interaction with clients and engineers from other disciplines. Prior engineering leadership experience is highly desirable. The candidate will also serve as a technical mentor for less experienced staff in local offices and engage in Business Development activities such as proposal preparation and fee/scope development. The role includes filling the position of Project Manager for selected Electrical projects. AutoCAD experience is a must, while Revit BIM software and SKM and/or ETAP power systems software is desirable. Prior project leadership experience is required, and leadership experience in major projects is desired. Experience with instrumentation and control systems is a plus, including field and panel instruments, operator interfaces, and PLCs. Over 12 years of experience in electrical engineering and design in water/wastewater or other heavy industrial industry is required. A Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Professional Engineering License are also required.
