About The Position

itD is seeking a Senior Electrical Hardware Engineer to drive end-to-end PCB and flexible circuit development for next-generation AR wearable devices. This role will play a critical part in delivering innovative electrical designs that enable advanced features within compact form factors, supporting increased project volume and complex component integration. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in electrical design, PCB fabrication, and design for manufacturability, along with a track record of successfully releasing hardware designs from early concept through mass production.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in electrical design, PCB development, or related hardware engineering roles.
Direct ownership of flex and multi-layer board (MLB) design releases from concept through production.
Experience managing SMT and FATP builds end-to-end, including schedule, quality, and yield optimization.
Hands-on experience working with APAC contract manufacturers and flex vendors.
Strong understanding of PCB schematics, layouts, build matrices, and design for manufacturability (DFM).

Nice To Haves

Experience supporting AR wearable device development.
Background in small electrical component integration within compact form factors.
Knowledge of advanced PCB fabrication techniques and materials.
Prior experience in consumer electronics or big tech hardware environments.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end ownership of PCB fabrication, including schematics, layouts, flex development, and vendor approval through production release.
Drive design releases for flexible circuits and multi-layer boards (MLBs) from early design stages through mass production.
Collaborate with electrical engineers and cross-functional teams to develop flexible and rigid circuit solutions for AR wearable devices.
Manage SMT (Surface Mount Technology) and FATP (Final Assembly, Test, and Pack) builds end-to-end, optimizing for schedule, quality, and yield.
Coordinate directly with APAC contract manufacturers to ensure supplier readiness, flex vendor engagement, and manufacturing alignment.
Develop and maintain build matrices, track schedules, proactively identify risks, and drive mitigation plans to keep programs on track.
Facilitate cross-functional meetings, align stakeholders on timelines and technical decisions, and support design for manufacturability (DFM) initiatives.
Attend regular internal practice community meetings.
Collaborate with your itD practice team on industry thought leadership.
Complete client case studies and learning material (blogs, media material).
Build out material to contribute to the Digital Transformation practice.
Attend internal itD networking events (in person and virtual).
Work with leadership on career fast-track opportunities.
