Join us on our mission to unleash AI-powered imaging for everything and everyone Senior Electrical Field Engineer Starting date: As soon as possible Yearly Salary: $96,250 - $103,125 (fixed range, annual gross) Equity: $22,000 - $44,000 in company shares Work model: Full-time, Hybrid in Houston, Texas As a Senior Electrical Field Engineer, you will take a hands-on approach to validating, installing, and maintaining our electrical equipment that is provided with our MRI scanning solutions at customer sites. You will collaborate closely with our product, systems engineering, and software teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and adapted to local conditions. You will handle everything from reviewing electrical drawings, adapting them to local regulations, inspecting electrical systems, to supporting on-site activities, including providing insights to local electricians for installation, servicing, and maintenance. As a critical liaison between the R&D, field operations, and the customer, your work involves validating, installing, and maintaining our electrical equipment that is provided with our automation & MRI scanning solutions at customer sites.

  • Validate and review electrical schematics and drawings prepared by our R&D team.
  • Adapt electrical schematics to ensure they adhere to local regulations in the US and validate them with our systems engineering and compliance teams.
  • Evaluate local electrical conditions for site requirements needed for customer installations & ensure electrical site readiness.
  • Inspect and validate electrical components that are delivered to our premises and customer sites for installation.
  • Instruct local electricians and customer contractors regarding the installation or troubleshooting of our electrical equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues and malfunctions, providing on-site solutions.
  • Install, test, and commission equipment, systems, or machinery at customer sites.
  • Mentor, train, and collaborate with the rest of the team for knowledge-sharing on all electrical aspects of our systems.
  • Test system performance and teach the customer about safety, service, and operation.
  • Collaborate with product management & systems engineering on customer feedback and product improvement.
  • Coordinate with suppliers on on-site servicing, repair, or redesign of electrical components.
  • You have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or similar; the alternative is higher professional technical education in electrical engineering or as an electrician.
  • Knowledge of the architecture of industrial automation systems and their components.
  • You have 7+ years of experience designing, installing and commissioning industrial power distribution electrical systems, ideally including automation or imaging systems.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, specifically power distribution systems for industrial machinery.
  • Strong understanding of the National Electric Code (NEC) or NFPA 70 with experience in design, oversight, and compliance review.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence when interacting with customers, their contractors and suppliers, ensuring clear and effective collaboration.
  • Proactive problem-solver with a practical, hands-on approach, unafraid to take action and ownership to drive results.
  • Expertise in diagnosing technical issues, identifying root causes, and coordinating with the appropriate teams or specialists for resolution.
  • Customer-facing experience.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to various customer sites across North America for installation, servicing, and maintenance, and to Europe for training for around 50% of the time.
  • You possess a valid U.S. driver's license
  • You have experience with MRI technology.
  • You have a master's degree in electrical engineering or something similar.
  • Appreciation for interdisciplinary collaboration, thriving in environments that integrate diverse perspectives and expertise.
  • You speak more than one language, ideally Spanish.
  • Basic proficiency in Linux, with the ability to navigate and perform essential tasks within the system.
  • You're an individual contributor with a team-oriented mindset, actively contributing to a positive, collaborative, and dynamic work environment.
  • Experience with wiring schematic creation tools (Eplan & AutoDesk Electrical) to validate, modify, and create wiring diagrams.
  • Experience using CAD tools (AutoCAD) to draw site plans (DWG files) or technical drawings & wiring schematic diagrams.
