Senior Electrical Estimator
About The Position
Superior Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing, Inc. is a trusted regional provider of skilled trade construction supporting commercial new construction, tenant improvements, and 24/7 emergency services for our clients. The Senior Electrical Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive commercial electrical estimates while supporting the company’s profitability and long-term growth. This leadership role oversees and mentors junior estimators, helps develop estimating processes, and collaborates closely with project management to ensure successful project execution. The ideal candidate will have commercial journeyman experience and at least seven years of estimating and management experience.
Requirements
- Minimum of seven years of electrical estimating experience, preferably on retail projects
- Proficiency with estimating software and tools, including Bluebeam, TeleBid Pro, SureCount, Autodesk, and/or PlanSwift
- Strong ability to read and interpret structural and architectural plans related to commercial electrical installations
Responsibilities
- Evaluates labor, materials, productivity, and scope of commercial retail proposals
- Prepares and reviews all documents for proposals
- Manages bid activity and supports projects from preconstruction through change orders while building strong client relationships
- Mentor and develop junior estimators to build industry knowledge, estimating skills, and professional growth
- Supervise and coordinate workflow of administrative assistants
- Supports department budget and forecasting of personnel
