About The Position

Live Systems LLC is seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to lead our estimating department. This is a priority role that will play a key part in driving company growth through accurate estimating, customer engagement, and business development. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, customer-facing, and capable of leading estimating efforts from initial opportunity through final proposal.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of electrical estimating experience in commercial and/or industrial construction
  • Proven experience leading or managing estimating efforts or departments
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, materials, labor productivity, and construction methods
  • Proficiency with electrical estimating and takeoff software (Accubid, McCormick, PlanSwift, or similar)
  • Excellent communication, organization, and negotiation skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel to customer sites and meetings
  • Valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience
  • Existing relationships with general contractors, owners, or suppliers
  • Experience estimating technology-driven or specialty electrical systems
  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the electrical estimating department, including estimating processes, pricing strategies, and workload prioritization
  • Prepare detailed and accurate electrical estimates, bids, and proposals from plans, specifications, and field walkthroughs
  • Visit customer sites to review scope, assess conditions, and build strong client relationships
  • Actively pursue new work by networking with customers, contractors, and industry partners
  • Collaborate with project management and operations teams to ensure smooth project handoff
  • Develop and maintain cost databases, labor units, and vendor pricing
  • Identify value engineering opportunities to improve competitiveness and profitability
  • Mentor and train junior estimators or support staff as the department grows
  • Stay current with market conditions, material pricing, labor trends, and electrical codes
