About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator / Project Management Lead to drive both the front-end pricing strategy and early-phase project execution for large-scale commercial and institutional projects. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for securing profitable work and ensuring projects transition smoothly from bid award into successful delivery. You will work closely with executive leadership, operations, and clients to shape pursuit strategy, pricing models, and project execution standards. This role offers autonomy, influence, and long-term growth potential within a stable, well-capitalized contractor.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of electrical estimating experience, focused on commercial new construction
  • Demonstrated experience working closely with project management and field operations
  • Advanced proficiency with estimating platforms such as Accubid, ConEst, Trimble, or similar
  • Strong knowledge of NEC code, commercial electrical systems, and construction methodologies
  • Proven ability to manage high-value, multi-trade bid packages
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working directly with executives, general contractors, and owners
  • Highly detail-oriented and deadline-driven

Nice To Haves

  • Journeyman or Master Electrician license
  • Experience with design-build delivery and BIM coordination
  • Background in institutional, healthcare, or large multifamily projects

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end estimating for commercial new construction projects, including design-build, design-assist, and plan/spec delivery methods
  • Perform detailed quantity takeoffs, labor modeling, and material pricing to develop accurate, competitive bids
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and project requirements to define scope, exclusions, and clarifications
  • Develop professional bid proposals and pricing packages for general contractors and owners
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings, site walks, and client presentations
  • Identify risk exposure and develop value-engineering and cost-optimization strategies
  • Partner with project managers and field leadership to support early-stage project planning, scheduling, procurement strategy, and handoff
  • Provide oversight during initial project phases to ensure alignment between estimate, budget, and execution
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and GC partners
  • Maintain and refine estimating databases, labor factors, and pricing models
  • Mentor junior estimators and support development of project management and preconstruction best practices
  • Track and report on market trends, material escalation, and labor conditions
