About The Position

As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will be a technical leader in designing innovative hardware products from concept through mass production. You will drive system architecture, component selection, and hardware design, optimizing for metrics like power consumption, cost, size, RF performance, and usability. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to prototype, validate, and launch high-quality hardware products. You will contribute novel solutions to improve existing products and processes, while mentoring junior engineers and helping shape engineering culture.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience designing and shipping hardware products
  • Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineer or similar discipline
  • Strong fundamentals in both analog and digital electronics
  • Proficient with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Cadence, Altium, etc.)
  • Experience designing low-power embedded systems and optimizing power consumption
  • Skilled in hands-on prototyping, soldering, and debug
  • Proficient in using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power meters, and other lab tools
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain complex issues to non-technical stakeholders
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Experience collaborating with contract manufacturers and scaling designs to production

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with EMC/ESD compliance and test fixture development
  • BLE / Wi-Fi / LoRa / UWB RF layout and antenna tuning experience
  • Familiarity with PLM tools (e.g., Arena) and hardware revision control
  • Experience with DFM/DFT and test jig development
  • Familiarity with reliability testing (e.g., HALT/HASS, thermal cycling)
  • Python scripting or embedded C for test automation or board-level validation
  • Mechanical CAD collaboration (e.g., STEP files, tolerance stacks)

Responsibilities

  • Lead hardware design from concept through mass production
  • Own system-level architecture and schematic design
  • Perform and oversee prototype assembly, bring-up, and debugging
  • Conduct root cause analysis and corrective action for hardware issues
  • Collaborate daily with mechanical and firmware teams to implement integrated solutions
  • Develop and maintain documentation including BOMs, schematics, layouts, test reports
  • Drive product compliance through EMC/ESD and regulatory testing (FCC, UL, etc.)
  • Support manufacturing partners during development builds and production ramp
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to best practices and design reviews
