About The Position

Barton Associates is seeking a Senior Level Electrical Engineer based in our Raleigh Office Innovative Design: Lead the design and development of electrical systems for a diverse range of projects, including commercial, institutional, and residential. Utilize your extensive experience to create cutting-edge solutions that meet client needs. Collaborative Leadership: Work closely with architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless and integrated project delivery. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering a collaborative and productive team environment. On-Site Expertise: Conduct comprehensive site inspections and provide expert technical support throughout the construction phases. Your seasoned insights will ensure projects are executed flawlessly. Technical Excellence: Prepare and review detailed technical drawings, specifications, and reports to ensure the highest quality standards. Your meticulous attention to detail will be pivotal in maintaining our reputation for excellence. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs meet local, state, and federal electrical codes and standards. Your deep understanding of regulatory requirements will safeguard project compliance. Project Management: Efficiently manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to deliver projects on time and within budget. Your strategic planning and organizational skills will drive project success. Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior designers, sharing best practices and fostering professional growth. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in the MEP industry, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification required.
  • Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes and standards, with the ability to navigate complex regulatory landscapes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to tackle challenging engineering problems.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with a knack for leading cross-functional teams and fostering a collaborative work environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced knowledge of other industry-standard tools and technologies is a plus.
