Job Summary: The Senior Electrical Engineer will design building electrical systems including power, lighting, fire alarm, and special systems. The candidate will have the opportunity to work on projects in a variety of market sectors, such as K-12 and higher education, healthcare, institutional and commercial projects.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years’ design experience
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
- New York State Licensed Professional Engineer
- Experience with K-12, high education, healthcare and commercial markets in New York market
- Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office
- Familiarity with codes, standards, and design guidelines, including proficiency with the National Electrical Code
- Excellent work ethic and attitude
- Good communication and time management skills
- Interpersonal communication skills, combined with organizational skills, the ability to plan, balance, and prioritize work
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Ability to provide technical mentorship to engineers with less experience
- Ability to solve problems in an effective and timely manner
Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems including lighting, power, and life safety for existing facility renovations, new facilities and facility modernization projects
- Conduct load sizing and service requirements for beneficial electrification projects
- Lead electrical project teams and perform QA/QC of design work
- Oversee and provide guidance to junior engineers
- Coordinate work with other disciplines
