About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to play a pivotal role in the design, development, and scaling of our robotic manicure machine. This position requires a strong technical background in analog, digital, and power electronics, and a proven ability to manage complex hardware integration challenges from concept through mass production. You will be instrumental in ensuring the safety, performance, and long-term reliability of the electrical architecture that powers our groundbreaking consumer product.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or a related field) with 5+ years of professional experience in hardware design and product development
  • Extensive, hands-on experience designing and debugging multi-layer PCBs using industry-standard tools (e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD)
  • Deep knowledge of digital interfaces, high-speed signal integrity, and analog sensor conditioning
  • Proficiency with standard lab testing and diagnostic equipment for board-level debugging

Nice To Haves

  • Experience designing and implementing circuits for DC motor control, servo motors, or stepper motors is highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Architect, design, and implement complex Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs), focusing on multi-layer digital and mixed-signal designs for the system's embedded computers and control boards
  • Own the electrical system architecture, including defining power distribution strategies, sensor interfaces, and communication bus architectures (e.g., I2C, SPI, USB)
  • Design and validate motor control circuitry for stepper and DC motors, as well as circuitry for current sensing and other position sensing
  • Lead the schematic capture, simulation, and hardware bring-up of new prototype boards. Use advanced lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers) to troubleshoot and validate functionality
  • Define and implement Design for Test (DFT) and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) best practices
  • Ensure all electrical designs meet rigorous safety, regulatory, and EMI/EMC compliance standards (e.g., FCC, CE)

Benefits

  • Equity and benefits are included for all full-time employees.
