About The Position

In accordance with applicable regulations, policies, and procedures, you will: Apply broad expertise in electrical design and general knowledge of related engineering fields. Plan and execute electrical design and development assignments for medium‑magnitude projects. Estimate resource needs and schedule work to meet timelines and specifications. Provide technical guidance and coordinate work performed by Engineers, Technicians, and Designers. Deliver electrical designs through the full lifecycle—from concept to requirements, detailed design, verification/validation, and design transfer. Develop system and subsystem requirements. Create electrical schematics, multilayer PCB designs, and electrical cable/harness designs. Specify electronic components and power supplies. Evaluate progress against technical and project goals. Provide training and technical support to internal teams and stakeholders. Develop and execute test protocols. Produce technical reports. Maintain accurate documentation of designs, processes, testing, and analysis. Perform failure analyses and prepare investigation reports. Support proposal development and project cost estimation. Escalate business‑related issues when appropriate. Perform additional duties as assigned. Develop multilevel Bills of Materials (BOMs). Participate in technical assessments and design reviews. Manage work schedules to align with project timelines. Work independently and within cross‑functional teams. Collaborate closely with Software Development Engineers and non‑R&D functions. Support suppliers, vendors, and consultants; participate in supplier visits and process‑improvement initiatives. Coordinate testing with third‑party labs (e.g., NRTL, environmental, HALT). Use complex engineering test equipment and general laboratory tools. Conduct experiments and troubleshoot designs in a lab environment. Apply electrical safety and ESD principles. Perform other engineering duties as assigned. Provide technical supervision and coordination for Engineers and Technicians. Collaborate with Software Development teams and other internal/external departments. Work with third‑party suppliers for technical services, component sourcing, contract manufacturing, or testing. Implementing safety and environmental procedures and standards. Monitoring compliance and enforcing rules. Maintaining a safe work environment and recognizing safe behaviors. Providing training during onboarding, transfers, or when new hazards are introduced. Measuring safety performance and ensuring accountability. Investigating incidents and implementing corrective actions. Ensuring PPE use. Conducting monthly EHS inspections and resolving findings. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Associate's Degree
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (required)
  • Minimum: 5+ years with BSEE
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Understanding of project management principles
  • Knowledge and application of ALCOA principles
  • Electrical Safety & Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protection
  • Cadence/OrCAD Capture and PCB Editor
  • Familiarity with PSPICE
  • Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Testability (DFT)
  • Analog and digital circuit design
  • Hands‑on experience with digital multimeters and mixed‑signal oscilloscopes
  • Knowledge of relevant Safety and Test Standards
  • Talking and hearing may be required.
