Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science or Electrical Engineering with power system emphasis.
  • 10+ years of experience in relevant work.
  • License as a Professional Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Aspects of electrical design related to generation, transmission, and distribution, including substations for solar, wind, and battery energy storage systems (BESS). Integration into the electrical grid, underground distribution systems, industrial electrical plant applications, and communications technologies.
  • Outlining the initial design concepts for substations and overseeing the review or creation of detailed designs, this includes:
  • Electrical layouts and elevations
  • Single-line and three-line diagrams
  • DC and AC control schematics, wiring connections, cable schedules
  • Organization of raceways, such as cable trays, duct banks, and trenches,
  • Comprehensive bill of materials.
  • Author technical specifications for major electrical components to meet customer needs and adhere to the most recent and relevant standards.
  • Vendor’s proposal evaluation
  • Reviewing vendor’s equipment specifications, and shop drawings.
  • Maintaining project schedule while adhering to project quality and budget objectives.
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior designers and engineers.
