About The Position

This is a full-time, direct placement role at Resource Consulting Engineers, LLC. Resource Consulting Engineers, LLC is a Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Consulting Engineering firm, primarily focused on services related to building analysis, design, and construction administration services. The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for performing and/or overseeing all aspects of electrical systems design for our projects. Future oversight of other electrical engineering personnel is also likely. The ideal candidate is expected to take a leadership role within the firm, and will work directly with clients, performing both technical engineering and project management roles.

Requirements

Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Iowa
Minimum of five years' experience designing electrical systems for buildings
Experience with design of power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems
Experience with design software packages (AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design software)
Ability to work effectively with other team members and clients

Responsibilities

Design and analysis of electrical power distribution systems
Design and analysis of lighting systems
Design and analysis of low-voltage systems (fire alarm, communications, security, public address, etc.)
Complete calculations related to electrical systems
Use of electrical systems design software
Production of electrical drawings and specifications
Review of submittals from contractors
Response to contractor questions
