Responsibilities Design single phase and three-phase pole and pad-mount distribution transformers according to customer and industry specifications (IEEE, ANSI, DOE, CSA). Prepare drawings, data schedules, nameplate details, and bills of materials for customer approval and manufacturing release. Review designs and winding specifications to ensure compliance with design rules and standards. Perform fuse coordination as required. Recommend material substitutions when necessary to optimize design. Provide shop support to resolve manufacturing issues. Assist Quality Control (QC) in diagnosing electrical failures during testing. Support sales and marketing with technical documentation and drawings for bids and proposals. . Requirements Education and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Minimum 7+ years of experience (with Electrical Engineering degree) Expertise in single and three-phase pole-mount and pad-mount distribution transformers, 167kVA and above required Transformer coil design and protection for medium voltage (MV) and low voltage (LV) applications. Basic electrical testing of transformer coils and assemblies. Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidEdge. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., INFOR). Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality. Effective communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams. Requirements
