RETTEW is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer 1 to join our Facilities and Construction Team in Mechanicsburg, PA. This role will lead the design and implementation of electrical and control systems for a variety of complex projects across industrial, commercial, and infrastructure sectors. As a Senior Electrical Engineer 1, you will serve as a technical leader in the design and delivery of electrical and control systems. You will play a key role in advancing RETTEW’s strategic position in industrial automation, data center construction, and electrical grid modernization while mentoring engineers and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in electrical system design
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Strong technical background in electrical design for facilities, industrial, or infrastructure projects
  • Proven ability to lead design efforts and mentor junior staff

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with industrial automation, data centers, or electrical grid modernization projects
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software
  • Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, and IEEE standards

Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical design efforts for power distribution, lighting, and control systems.
  • Oversee the development of electrical drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Coordinate with project managers, clients, and other engineering disciplines to ensure high-quality, on-time project delivery.
  • Perform quality assurance and quality control reviews for electrical deliverables.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to junior engineers and designers.
  • Support business development through proposal preparation, client engagement, and strategic pursuits.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and industry trends to help shape RETTEW’s market growth.
