About The Position

Kleinschmidt electrical engineers design hydropower plant modernizations, fish passage automation, and GSU substations. Our Electrical engineers are supporting clients by writing procurement specifications, performing design reviews, attending commissioning and onsite construction support. Our engineers are also performing power system analysis such as short circuit calculations, power flow analysis, overcurrent device coordination and arc flash incident energy analysis.

Requirements

An EIT or PE with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 5 years' experience.
Relationship-focused: Experience developing long-lasting relationships with clients to assist them in solving complex engineering challenges.
Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team while applying engineering skills from analysis and design through to construction.
The successful candidate will also possess strong oral and written communication skills, must be self-motivated and growth oriented.
Must possess permanent authorization to work in the United States.
Must be willing to travel and possess a valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

The successful candidate will have a base in hydroelectric design experience but preferably with wide area multi-plant SCADA systems, condition monitoring, or Battery Energy Storage System design experience as well.
