As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the development of clinical ultrasound systems. This role will provide project leadership and electrical design through all development stages, including requirements definition, architectural design, circuit design, layout, bring-up, system integration, test, debug and verification. You will be a subject matter expert (SME) with strong working knowledge of analog, digital, signal processing and low-noise subsystem design. This role requires familiarity with all aspects of the system level design including the analog front-end, A/D acquisition, digital signal processing and imaging functions. Responsibilities include providing technical leadership on major projects and resolving complex technical challenges for ultrasound applications in an FDA regulated environment. You will work cross-functionally with adjacent groups such as mechanical engineering, experience design, and software development. Experience and knowledge in leading complex products through the product development process is critical to success. This is an opportunity to take a product through the end-to-end development lifecycle, from inception through design, development, testing, deployment and support.   • Develop project plans - including scope, requirements & resource needs
  • Provide key project leadership & design input, executing product development processes effectively
  • Perform architectural, system & circuit level electrical design
  • Develop verification plans and conduct electrical design verification testing
  • Work cross-functionally with Program Management and other engineering disciplines to ensure designs meet system level requirements
  • Guide critical product decisions to achieve the 'right' balance of product performance, schedule, cost, and quality
  • Assess, articulate, and drive to a conclusion the technical options, risks, and trade-offs
  • Develop and manage relationships with 3rd party suppliers, vendors and external engineering resources
  • Coordinate internal resources, external partners, and vendors in developing product solutions
  • Prototype & evaluate new technologies
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a combination of work history and education
  • 6-8 years' experience as an electrical design engineer in the medical device or consumer electronic industry
  • Experience performing complex product development, from inception to launch
  • Track record of positively managing conflict and building positive relationships
  • Experience with medical device development & medical device regulatory requirements is desirable but not required
  • $97,000.00 - $135,000.00/yr. depending on experience
