  • Perform technical analysis, design, development, testing, installation, and service.
  • Work from instructions, drawings, proposals, and specifications.
  • Prepare specifications and related documents per requirements.
  • Review and analyze engineering data, documents, and reports.
  • Consult with other engineering groups to ensure suitability of engineering criteria.
  • Investigate technical problems and establish corrective actions.
  • Allocate time to customer-focused activities, product care, and operational troubleshooting.
  • Assist in preparing specifications, selecting materials, drafting proposals, and preparing licensing and safety documents.
  • Develop 2-D and 3-D models using advanced CAD software (AutoCAD and CREO Parametric).
  • Learn and basic numerical tolerance calculations and stack-up analysis.
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical, electromechanical, or mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • 3 to 7 years of experience.
  • Experience with Pro-E or any 3D CAD modeling software is highly desired but not required.
  • Experience with Windchill data management or any PLM software is highly desired but not required.
  • Preferably, some experience designing or developing electromechanical products, mainly transformer components, is highly desired but not required.
  • Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
