About The Position

The Electrical Engineer will work in a dynamic environment with exposure to many systems. Particular areas of focus are PCB design, rapid prototyping, and IR&D efforts. Other projects will be assigned based on program requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Masters degree in electrical engineering or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in electrical engineering with a strong emphasis on PCB design and layout
  • Proficiency in PCB design tools
  • Strong understanding of high-speed signal layout, power distribution, impedance control, and EMC/EMI mitigation
  • Knowledge of hardware communication standards, e.g. UART, RS232, RS422, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, USB, PCI-Express, SATA, MIPI, LVDS, Display Port, HDMI, etc.
  • Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and digital/analog interface circuits
  • Ability to troubleshoot and debug hardware using lab tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
  • Passion for learning new technologies
  • Ability to work independently and solve challenges with minimal supervision
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Possess or be willing to attain a secret clearance
  • GPS, GNSS experience strongly desired

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize multi-layer PCBs for analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits
  • Select components, create schematics, and oversee PCB layout using Altium
  • Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing engineers to ensure cohesive product development
  • Review and validate electrical schematics and PCB layouts for DFM/DFT, signal integrity, environmental, and EMI/EMC considerations
  • Support prototype bring-up, debugging, testing, and validation of electrical systems and circuits
  • Interface with vendors and manufacturers to manage PCB fabrication and assembly processes
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on PCB design best practices
  • Conduct design reviews and participate in peer reviews of schematics and layout
  • Maintain design documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards (e.g., IPC, UL, CE, RoHS)
