About The Position

Tectonic is currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer / Project Manager to join our dynamic Energy team, working on renewable power, battery storage, and advanced energy projects nationwide. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer with strong leadership and project management skills to contribute to innovative power projects — from conceptual design through construction — while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The Senior Electrical Engineer / Project Manager will lead and oversee electrical engineering and design activities for large-scale renewable energy and infrastructure projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with a valid Professional Engineering License
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering, including leadership of medium-to-large EPC or renewable energy projects
  • Strong understanding of generator systems, HV/MV/LV switchgear, transformers, SCADA systems, and industrial power distribution
  • Proficiency in ETAP or similar power system analysis software
  • Strong communication and organizational skills; proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and interface with clients
  • Ability to travel occasionally for site visits and client meetings
  • Requires a valid, clean driver’s license, as travel to job sites will be required

Responsibilities

  • Managing all phases of electrical design and coordination for complex projects, including combined cycle, battery storage, fuel cell, and aeroderivative turbine systems
  • Developing design criteria, single-line diagrams, protection and metering diagrams, and equipment specifications
  • Performing and reviewing power system studies using ETAP or similar tools
  • Leading project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and client coordination
  • Reviewing vendor proposals, bid evaluations, and providing recommendations
  • Mentoring junior engineers and designers, reviewing their work for quality and technical accuracy
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable U.S. and international electrical codes and standards
  • Supporting construction teams through design clarifications, site visits, and technical troubleshooting
