About The Position

Amentum is now hiring for a Senior Electrical Engineer/Program Integrator in support of the Prototyping Integration Facility (PIF) of the Command, Control, Communication, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Center (C5ISR) at the Ft. Belvoir, VA, Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD and Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, NJ areas. This position will oversee the prototype and limited manufacturing programs focused on the C5ISR programs. This project provides the U.S. Army, U.S. Army Futures Command, U.S. Special Forces and the U.S. Marine Corps integration of C5ISR operational prototypes onto a range Military Weapon Systems & Platforms (air, ground & sea) as well as performing C5ISR prototyping, integration, and testing support based on Real-World emerging needs of the Warfighter.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 10 years' of experience.
  • Ten years’ experience planning and executing C5ISR research and development programs.
  • Must have an Active US Government Secret Clearance.
  • Must be capable of planning, coordinating, and directing the activities of administrative, program, and technical personnel.
  • Must have a thorough understanding and experience in the complete life-cycle management of military systems.
  • Must have knowledge and experience with Department of Defense (DOD)/Army plans, policies, standards, and methods aimed at the acquisition and support of military systems.
  • Must be capable of managing and controlling schedules and cost to provide on time, within budget, performance of all aspects of the contractual effort.
  • Must be capable of providing direction for operations and ensuring compliance with all management policies, plans, and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership in the development of concepts, technical data packages, and the oversight of the fabrication of hardware systems.
  • Work with other engineers to ensure quality, safety, and logistics concerns related to systems designs are met.
  • Assist in the preparation of test plans to demonstrate the effectiveness of the design packages, presenting the results of the design and test phases.
  • Work with customers by providing estimates for work and tracking expenditures.
  • Oversee the set up and operate a full range of machine tools found in a well-equipped prototype development shop.
  • Work from engineering design drawings and technical specifications.
  • Maintain dimensional accuracy, to specified tolerances, during machining processes, using measuring instruments.
  • Plan and oversee the fabrication and construction of mechanisms, models and instruments that fulfill engineering requirements.
  • Determine necessity for special tools, dies and fixtures required to accomplish intricate machining and assembly operations.
  • Set-up and operate CNC machines (Machining Center, Lathe and Milling Machine).
  • Work independently, with minimal supervision.
  • Plan programs being performed on these systems to include providing estimates for work and tracking expenditures.
  • Work with other engineers to design systems.
