About The Position
exp Federal is an established full-service architectural and engineering firm that provides a comprehensive range of design solutions and construction support to the federal government. Our team of professionals operates in some of the most challenging environments to provide support services to a variety of governmental agencies globally. We are currently seeking a talented mid-level Senior Electrical Engineer - PE to join our full-service electrical design team in Chantilly, VA. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on a variety of projects that keep you engaged and showcase your individual talents. As part of a project team, you will be involved in the preparation of low voltage building design drawings using AutoCad and Revit, and you will be responsible for preparing drawings, specifications, and procedures for the installation, integration, and maintenance of electrical equipment and systems. In this role, you will provide design and quality control for ongoing construction projects, review contractor submittals against specifications, and respond to contractor Requests for Information (RFIs). You will also prepare and/or review and evaluate design calculations, and develop independent cost estimates for both government and internal proposal purposes. This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university, a PE license, and the ability to travel internationally. Proficiency in REVIT and 7-10 years of experience in design within the electrical engineering discipline are also essential.
