About The Position

The Senior Electrical Engineer will lead and support the Electrical Engineering team for projects in the Mining, Minerals, and Metals (MMM) sector at Worley. This role involves managing projects of varying sizes, ensuring adherence to quality, cost, and schedule while maintaining technical integrity and compliance with safety standards. The position requires strong leadership and communication skills to solve complex engineering challenges and deliver high-quality engineering services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 8+ years Lead or Senior Electrical Engineer experience within the mining industry.
  • 4+ years Mining, Minerals & Metals (MMM) projects experience.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Electrical Engineering in the state of Arizona or the ability to obtain licensure within an expedited timeframe.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 2+ years of EPC/EPCM Mining project experience.
  • Mining regulatory/MSHA certification and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a discipline project team in the Electrical department for Mining, Minerals, and Metals projects.
  • Act as the project lead designer/engineer, overseeing the work of engineers, designers, or drafters.
  • Perform design/engineering work and deliverables within the Electrical team.
  • Interpret customer specifications and coordinate/communicate with other disciplines and customers.
  • Support scope definition, estimation, and progress control of Electrical Engineering activities.
  • Lead RFP, estimations, detailed engineering, and field support project activities.
  • Ensure familiarity with applicable codes, mining Electrical standards, and customer standards.
  • Support quality assurance and verification roles on engineering deliverables.
  • Identify and resolve issues and problems, keeping abreast of the latest developments in Electrical Engineering.
  • Act as the Electrical Engineering lead on specific projects when required.
  • Ensure project scope clarity and compliance with change management processes.
  • Participate in meetings, prepare progress reports, and follow required checking procedures.
  • Provide assistance and advice during procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
  • Offer construction management support for customers as required.
  • Liaise with clients, vendors, engineers, and other disciplines.
  • Contribute to the professional development of less experienced team members.
  • Deliver Electrical Engineering services meeting Worley, customer, and regulatory standards.
  • Initiate, manage, and supervise Electrical Engineering activities to meet project requirements.
  • Participate in the preparation of specifications, datasheets and technical bid evaluation.
  • Participate in site walkdowns, project meetings, design reviews, and incorporation of review comments.
  • Monitor assigned activities for effective performance and adherence to established policies and standards.
