About The Position

We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer skilled in power and electrical distribution systems to tackle complex engineering challenges. In this role, you will assess project scopes, define requirements, and conduct feasibility studies while collaborating with cross-functional teams and occasionally overseeing contractors on major projects. Familiarity with oil and gas terminals, pump stations, and industrial power distribution is a plus.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience, with a focus on power distribution and industrial electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in SAP, MS Office, project scheduling, and advanced electrical design tools; ETAP experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of NEC standards, motor control systems, and experience sizing/specifying equipment like motor starters, disconnects, and wiring/conduits.
  • Familiarity with medium voltage systems (up to 15kV) and low-voltage wiring.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and eligibility for a TWIC.
  • PE License or EIT certification is preferred but not required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in oil and gas terminal or pump station environments.
  • Familiarity with variable frequency drives, motor controls, and PLCs.
  • Background in medium voltage equipment design, sizing motors, relays, and protective devices.
  • Certifications in control systems or advanced electrical engineering fields.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze requirements, develop technical specs, and conduct feasibility and economic assessments.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to engineers, technicians, and contractors.
  • Lead design and implementation for electrical/instrumentation systems, power distribution, area classifications, arc flash studies, and PLCs.
  • Manage multi-million-dollar budgets, ensuring quality, cost, and schedule adherence.
  • Utilize SAP for project management, maintenance, and material planning.
  • Support remote troubleshooting of automation and electrical systems, including motor controls and variable frequency drives.
  • Participate in corporate initiatives, special projects, and provide training on design, software, and SAP.
