As a Senior Electrical Engineer for High Voltage Power Electronics, you will be tasked with conceptualizing, designing, testing, validating, and otherwise owning power converters and power systems specializing in high voltage applications in space. You will work with a range of multidisciplinary team members to engineer the best solution, trading size, weight, cost, power efficiency, thermal management, and other key requirements. Specific high voltage considerations include electric field analysis, familiarity with partial breakdown mechanisms and prevention in solid, gas and vacuum insulation systems, partial discharge testing, industry standards for creepage and clearance and potting processes for high voltage systems. You will be joining an established team of experienced power engineers working to create the next generation of power conversion on our next generation satellites. Day-to-day will include simulations, schematic, layout, and hands-on board bring-up, debugging, and optimizing.
